Military Wives Admire Strength!
Military wives admire the strength of America’s Wounded Warriors and I admire their perseverance over difficult times even more. Strength is beautiful and knowing that Brawny supports and stands behind these Wounded Warriors who are putting their lives back together one day at a time is something I’m honored to be a part of. Military Wives understand and admire strength more than most.
For each ‘Like’ or ‘Share’ on this video, Brawny Towels will donate $1 to Wounded Warrior Project®! We stand strong with our nation’s heroes and their families.” Every time I have a rough day, I think about the “Admire Strength” video and realize that life is too short to worry over trivial things. Brawny® Paper Towels is encouraging people to help our nation’s heroes by supporting Wounded Warrior Project®- an organization dedicated to honoring and empowering Wounded Warriors.

As a military wife, I have to be strong every day to take care of my family! I work a lot and volunteer a lot, and this means I have to suck it up and drive on, embrace the suck, adapt and overcome, or whatever adage you choose to use when it comes to being strong. Perhaps this is why I admire strength so much.
Military wives work too and I can’t tell you how many people assume that we don’t work. There is some stigma that all military wives stay home with the kids, keep a spotless house, wash and iron the clothes immediately, cook three meals a day, and read a story to their children every night before tucking them into bed. Well, I’m here to tell you that this military wife works, and several military wives that I know work too, and I admire their strength and dedication to their spouses as they keep the fires lit at home and things running smoothly while they are away.

This Military Wife goes to work every day from 7am – 4pm.
I have a normal 8 hour a day job. I get up, get dressed and go to work every single day. I don’t have the luxury of balling up into a ball and hibernating until my husband returns from Afghanistan. Although at times, I wish that I did.

This Military Wife works as an FRG (Family Readiness Group) Leader!
I’m not just a Family Readiness Group Leader. That would be one job that would easily be doable. I mean let’s be honest, helping people is something I do anyways. :)

This Military Wife works as an Ambassador for the #IfTheyHadAVoice Movement!
I didn’t just help with the If They Had a Voice Movement, I developed the website and hosted the first “If They Had a Voice” Celebration in conjunction with Celebrate the Military Child in July.

This Military Wife works as a Mom Blogger with friends like Michaelyn.
I’m a mom blogger obviously, which means I attend events and conferences. I attended the Social Media Moms Conference recently which is where I met Michaelyn of Mouseka Tools. I bring her up as she’s been a military wife herself and knows what strength is all about.

This Military Wife Co-Founded Celebrate the Military Child, a Program of the SFC Jared C. Monti Memorial Scholarship Fund.
This Military Wife also co-founded Celebrate the Military Child with another Military Wife, Frances Wolf. I’m not bringing all of these things up to brag about how much I do while my husband is deployed. I’m bringing all of this up so that people understand life as a military wife is hectic, chaotic, and not nearly as glamorous as people think that it is. My friend Frances in the photograph above on the left, is an Officer’s Wife also. She has been so strong with two of her children requiring surgery while her husband is deployed. I admire her strength.

This Military Wife is a MOM to a 10 year old boy.
This Military Wife, last but certainly not least, also works being a mom to a handsome, talented, loving and athletic 10 year old little boy. This is the most difficult job that I have because I have to be a mom and a dad until his dad returns from Afghanistan. I’m not complaining about any of my jobs. They are all because I want to do them. We work hard, we take care of our children, and we (im)patiently await the return of our spouses. We do this for our country, our family and ourselves. We do this with love, dedication, support and loyalty. So, as you all celebrated Labor Day this past Monday, I hope you took a moment to say thank you to the men and women that serve and their families. Admire their strength in holding the family unit together while our loved ones are fighting for our freedom and to keep us safe.
