Trees in North Carolina is the main reason my husband has no desire to come back to this place. Well, that and several other reasons actually. He says the trees in North Carolina make North Carolina look like the place where they filmed “The Blair Witch Project” among other things. In case you’ve not noticed I’ve been missing in action for the past few days visiting my roots and three trees in the NC. In case you don’t know what NC stands for, that’d be North Carolina. I was not born in North Carolina, but I was raised here. I graduated from high school in North Carolina. I was back to throw an event for Celebrate the Military Child and the If They Had a Voice Movement. I was also going to visit family. It’s definitely difficult to visit North Carolina when you’ve got a few hours drive between your mom and your dad’s homes. One lives in Winston-Salem and one lives in Cary. There is only about an hour and a half between each place.

I did get to visit with my Aunt Gwen today and yesterday I got to hang out with Jocelyn. Of course, I got to see my daddy too. I stayed with my daddy while in Winston-Salem. It’s been a very busy past few days but, I’m thrilled that I got to spend some time with family. I saw several other people and will post about it later in the week, but I wanted to share with you all about where I disappeared to lately. I was visiting the trees in the big NC and I catching up with family and friends. I was also throwing an event for children with Down syndrome or Trisomy 21 that have military connections. It has been a whirlwind trip, but it’s been an amazing few days. So, happy I decided to take a few days for myself.
See you soon everyone. :)
