Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival returns to it’s delicious roots from March 28 – April 12, in the theme park’s historic Ghost Town. The 16-day food and entertainment festival is back with an scrumptious Boysenberry Bites, live entertainment, the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, and more farm fresh fun the whole family will love! Sun up to sundown the festival will have dueling fiddlers, Jammin’ in the Dark, Peanuts Party in the Park, vine dancing, swing dancing, live music, and other live entertainment. The limited-time Festival is included with admission to Knott’s Berry Farm. #KnottsSpring is guaranteed to be a celebration you won’t soon forget.
It’s a Boysenberry!
You might not know what a boysenberry is and so here is a little history lesson for you. Sometime in the 1930s Walter Knott (Knott’s Berry Farm get it) harvested the boysenberry which was a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry, and blackberry and named the new berry after it’s originator Rudolph Boysen. So, all boysenberries can trace their roots right back to Knott’s Berry Farm which is pretty wild if you ask me, much like the awesome rides at Knott’s Berry Farm. For this history lesson, you should know that Knott’s Berry Farms Boysenberry Festival will allow Knott’s to once again make delicious history with the debut of its very own farm-made Berry Market™ Boysenberry BBQ Sauce. With the limited time return of the classic Bear-y Tales characters in a pie making kitchen your children are certain to love this. We all know I love my Bears. Chicago Bears, Cal Bears and Bear-y Tales too.

New this year, your kids can join Razz Bear-y, Boysen Bear-y, Girlsen Bear-y, Elder Bear-y, and Flapper Bear-y to create their very own boysenberry tarts complete with a crumble topping inside of Ghost Town’s Craft Barn. Additional cost applies for tart making.
Rustic Banners and Props make the perfect setting for a special photo or two.
Do you have a sweet tooth? Well, Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival has a ton of treats for you from Boysenberry ICEE Floats, Boysenberry Frappuccino and Lattes (served at the new Gourmet Coffee Hut which proudly serves Starbucks drinks), and more. In honor of my fave berry, guests of Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival will get to wine, dine, dance and purchase boysenberry inspired items through the streets of the Old West. Make sure you take your photo with all of the rustic banners and props throughout the park.
Walter & Cordelia Knott’s Original Roadside Boysenberry Stand will be recreated for Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival and you can purchase authentic boysenberry plants. The Wine and Craft Brew Garden is located inside of Ghost Town’s Wilderness Dance Hall and for all my parents out there, I figured you’d like to know where it is. :) Birdcage Square is where you’ll find entertainment from Jammin in the Dark to the pie eating contest, which is located in front of the famous Birdcage Theatre.

Even the Mayor Comes to Knott’s Berry Farm’s Boysenberry Festival
The park will extend it’s hours during the festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. With the purchase of a theme park ticket, admission to the festival is free. Six tastings of boysenberry treats costs $25 plus tax, and Boysenberry Wine and Craft Brew Tasting (six samples with food pairings) will run you $19 plus tax.
