Super Bowl XLIX Black Tablecloths Party
One might wonder why I had a Super Bowl XLIX Black Tablecloths Party and one might not. The reason for the black tablecloths and the silver X of plates has nothing to do with the Oakland Raiders and everything to do with the fact that my team, nor my husband’s team were playing in the Super Bowl. We were protesting with the black tablecloths and the silver X in the middle of the table. I’ve not missed a Super Bowl since I was old enough to remember and I wasn’t going to miss Super Bowl 49 either. I didn’t go nearly as elaborate as I normally do for a party, my children expect it to be nice nonetheless.
All of the lovely supplies that I used for our Super Bowl XLIX Black Tablecloth Party came from Smarty Had a Party and they are so affordable and my children thought that they were supposed to load these in the dishwasher. They couldn’t believe that these were disposable plastic plates or that the silverware was disposable. I’ll be hosting more parties throughout the year where I will need a good black tablecloth. 
We found reasons to root for both the New England Patriots, after all my son’s name is Brady, Shane Vereen once played for Cal, and that was SFC Jared C. Monti’s fave team. We could also root for the Seattle Seahawks because Marshawn Lynch also played at Cal.
Super Bowl XLIX was exciting to watch. I’m not sure that anyone was expecting The Patriots to pull it out at the end. I was certainly shocked by Butler’s interception. I was appalled by the players turning Super Bowl XLIX into an MMA fight, but the halftime show with Katy Perry and Missy Elliott was amazing. I even liked the Hot Dog on a Stick outfit.
My Super Bowl Party setup looked adorable and took only seconds to do. The black tablecloth, the silver table runner, the silver plates, silverware and napkins looked amazing.
